Shocking pictures of a snowstorm in Buffalo, NY, have been taking over social media, as more than five feet of snow were measured in the area as of late Tuesday night. Snow continued to fall on Wednesday and another two to three feet were expected on Thursday. The snowfall may be the largest on record in Buffalo, according to Deputy County Executive Rich Tobe.
At least eight people are dead as a result of the severe Winter weather, with a state of emergency declared for 10 counties. One of the biggest issues has been abandoned vehicles, as hundreds of cars were left on roads throughout the area. Emergency workers gathered to rescue stranded people overnight, though some are still stranded.
