Shocking pictures of a snowstorm in Buffalo, NY, have been taking over social media, as more than five feet of snow fell overnight last Tuesday. Snow continued to fall on Wednesday and Thursday in some areas, and the highest snow total recorded was seven feet, one inch. The snowfall may be the largest on record in Buffalo, according to Deputy County Executive Rich Tobe.
At least 13 people are dead as a result of the severe Winter weather. Abandoned vehicles were one of the immediate issues, as hundreds of cars were left on roads throughout the area. Emergency workers gathered to rescue stranded people overnight, and travel bans were issued throughout multiple counties, as several roads were shut down.
