Matt Bellamy has broken his silence after he and Kate Hudson announced that they had broken up. The Muse frontman tweeted on Tuesday, "Love all of you guys! We're both very happy, it's for the best. Thanks for your kind words. Now about that new album."

When the news broke on Monday, Kate's rep said that the pair had been "separated for some time now" but that they remain close friends. The pair had been dating since 2010 and welcomed son Bingham Bellamy in July 2011. The pair also got engaged in April 2011. Kate has reportedly already moved on from Matt as she was spotted getting cozy with Dancing With the Stars dance pro Derek Hough.
