It's an exciting time for the Palin family. On Saturday, Bristol Palin announced her engagement to Dakota Meyer, a former US Marine and Medal of Honor recipient. The couple shared their joyous news with a series adorable Instagrams. "Truly the luckiest girl in the world, cannot wait to marry this man!!!!" Bristol captioned a photo of the pair kissing. She followed it up with a closeup of her stunning ring, expressing her excitement with heart emoticons in the caption. Dakota shared a photo of his own, writing, "I'm definitely the luckiest guy ever to be able to spend the rest of my life with @bsmp2 #shesaidyes." The proposal shouldn't come as a complete surprise to the couple's Instagram followers; they've posted several cute photos with her family, including her mom, former Alaska Governor and Republican vice president candidate Sarah Palin.
This will be Bristol's first time walking down the aisle, although she was formerly engaged to high-school sweetheart Levi Johnston.
