The British Royals Make Their Way to the White House


President Obama was happy to joke around with Prince Charles when he and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, stopped by the White House in Washington DC on Thursday. He told Prince Charles, "I think it's fair to say that the American people are quite fond of the royal family." Prince Charles said that was "awfully nice" to know, and Obama added, "They like them much better than they like their own politicians." Prince Charles didn't agree, saying, "I don't believe that," and went on to talk about his trip to Mount Vernon.


The royal couple traveled to the US for a four-day trip to Washington DC, and already they've stopped by Abraham Lincoln's cottage, the Capitol Building, and the Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School, where Prince Charles couldn't help but dance while a mariachi band serenaded him.
