President Barack Obama put politics on the back burner for a fun time on Monday. Joined by First Lady Michelle Obama, the president kicked off the White House's annual Easter Egg Roll on a balcony overlooking the South Lawn. Despite being the most powerful couple in the country, the duo was overshadowed by a festive mascot: an Easter bunny! As President Obama and First Lady Michelle addressed the crowd, the bunny stole the spotlight with his animated waves. Following the introduction and a performance by iD4GiRLS, the group joined partygoers on the lawn for the big event.
The festive day also included readings by both the president and Michelle, who was joined by Dr. Seuss characters, plus tennis and basketball games and plenty of adorable interactions with kids. But the real highlight came when Michelle broke it down with a dance to "Uptown Funk." You might recognize her moves from that awesome video of her dancing with Ellen DeGeneres to spread word about her Let's Move! campaign.
