David Beckham and the new royal baby are birthday twins! As David celebrated his 40th with a blow-out vacation on Saturday, Kate Middleton and Prince William introduced their new baby girl mere hours after her exciting birth announcement. The timing was not lost upon David, who took to Facebook to congratulate the royals. "Incredible news," he wrote. "I couldn't be happier for William and Kate. Happy to hear that mother and daughter are fine. It's not a bad day to be born."

The birth comes just a few days after Kate and William's wedding anniversary. David and wife Victoria Beckham were some of the famous guests who attended the royal couple's fairytale wedding on April 29, 2011. The retired footballer most recently linked up with William at a United for Wildlife event in June 2014.
