Gwyneth Paltrow didn't go to the Met Gala on Monday night, but judging by the photo she shared on Instagram, she had a very good reason. The actress shared a snap of her daughter, Apple Martin, wearing a dinosaur onesie with the caption, "This was the red carpet in my house last night." Gwyneth's firstborn is growing up fast and is celebrating her 11th birthday next week - can we look forward to seeing her on the red carpet with her famous mom sometime soon?
Gwyneth's absence from the Met Gala isn't too surprising, as she famously bashed the annual event back in 2013; just days after she hit the red carpet for the punk-themed gala, Gwyneth told Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie, "It sucked. It seems like it's the best thing in the world, you always think, 'Oh my god, it's gonna be so glamorous and amazing and you're going to see all these people,' and then you get there and it's so hot and it's so crowded and everyone's pushing you." She also called it "un-fun" and said, "I'm never going again." Even though Gwyneth wasn't in attendance, her BFF Beyoncé easily stole the spotlight with her dramatic last-minute red carpet arrival.
