Iggy Azalea is a pro at taking the stage, but this time she's headed for the altar! The rapper got engaged to her boyfriend, NBA star Nick Young, during his 30th birthday party on Monday. Nick, who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, got down on one knee at his carnival-themed bash on June 1 and presented Iggy with a yellow diamond ring. Iggy definitely looked surprised as she threw her head back laughing and answered with an enthusiastic, "Yes!" The couple's friend, Karen Civil, caught the adorable moment on camera and shared it with fans via Twitter. The Real host Jeannie Mai was also on hand at the event and shared cute photos on her Instagram account. "His bday. Her #happilyeverafter. That face . . ." Jeannie captioned a photo of Nick down on bended knee. Iggy, who's been dating Nick for nearly two years, also shared a series of photos of her ring on her Instagram account.
The massive, $500,000 sparkler, which features an 8.15 carat Fancy Intense yellow center stone with 2.28 carats of white diamonds set onto 18 karat white gold, was designed by Nick himself. "Nick was very involved in designing the ring. We wanted it to be both a ring of Iggy's dreams and a ring that fit her personal style," Jason Arasheben, CEO of Jason of Beverly Hills told Us Weekly. "It is always an honor when a client trusts me to help design a ring that symbolizes one of the most important decisions of their life."
