Amy Schumer opted for a Star Wars-themed photo shoot when GQ named her the "funniest woman in the galaxy." The results, which are on display in the magazine's August comedy issue, have been anything but a hit with fans of the franchise. Following an online backlash, Disney/LucasFilm took to Twitter to clarify the studio's stance on the images.

The pictures find Amy in a variety of situations with popular characters, like topless in bed with R2-D2 and C-3PO while smoking a cigarette. Amy's antics follow up Amy's serious and revealing cover story in August's Glamour, proving Comedy Central's funny lady is newsstand gold.
As Amy's cover made headlines over the weekend, her movie Trainwreck debuted at the box office. The romantic comedy came in at No. 3 with over $30 million in sales. In June, Amy told POPSUGAR the comedy is partly inspired by her dating experiences. If Jennifer Lawrence has her way, Amy's love life will unfold on ABC. That's because Jennifer recently nominated her for The Bachelorette! Read on to see more of Amy's GQ snaps.
