As the charitable trend took the world by storm in the Summer of 2014, the ALS Association raised a record-breaking $220 million. Twelve months (and millions of videos) later, the organization is reviving the phenomenon that dominated your social media feeds.
In case you want to get in on the comeback, here's how it works: people are nominated by their friends to go through with the stunt and share the video proof on social media. If they don't follow through, they're encouraged to at least make a donation. In the process, everyone raises awareness and money for the ALS Association to find a cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS.
