At 19, actress and singer Zendaya is considered a role model by women across ages, races, and cultures. This weekend, she joined forces with VH1 Save the Music and Mattel to celebrate the debut of a one-of-a-kind Barbie modeled after her Oscars look. The commemoration was especially meaningful for the star, who made a major teaching moment out of negative comments made around the dreadlocks she sported on the red carpet via social media. "I'm really excited because it shows a lot of young people that when you raise a voice . . . and use your power and your strength in the most positive ways, good things come of it," she told us.
