Meadow Walker's Attorney Fires Back at Porsche: She Should Still "Have the Father She Adored"

Nearly two years after Paul Walker's tragic death, his daughter, Meadow Walker, is still fighting for justice. In September, the 16-year-old filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche, the company that made the car that Paul and his friend Roger Rodas were driving when they crashed in November 2013. In the lawsuit, Meadow's lawyers claim that her father would still be alive if the company had installed proper safety features in the car. It also claims that Porsche knew that the specific car Paul had been in "had a history of instability and control issues." The company, however, reportedly "failed to install its electronic stability control system," which is "specifically designed to protect against the swerving actions inherent in hyper-sensitive vehicles of this type." Meadow's lawyers are also claiming that a "defective" seat belt design kept Paul trapped in the car, preventing him from escaping the vehicle once it caught on fire.

In November, Porsche fired back against the lawsuit, saying that Paul was responsible for his own death because he knew the potential dangers of riding in that specific car. Meadow's attorney, Jeff Milam, didn't waste any time in responding to the company's hurtful statements, saying, "It is beyond regrettable that Porsche is trying to deflect its own responsibility by blaming the victim – Paul Walker – for his own death by getting into the passenger seat of its Carrera GT. If Porsche had designed the car to include proper safety features, Paul would have survived, he would be filming Fast and Furious 8, and Meadow Walker would have the father she adored." In addition to seeking justice for Paul, Meadow also keeps his memory alive via social media.
